Business Analyst ( MNC )

Responsibilities:

• Develop Business Specifications, Test Plan and User Documentation
• Ensure that user requirements are effectively and accurately communicated to the other members of the development team.
• Ensure solutions and systems provided meet business objectives
• Plan and conduct feasibility studies and functional analysis of business requirements
• Evaluate alternative IT solutions and make appropriate recommendations
• Ensure that all key issues are identified in a structured manner for decision making
• Facilitate communications between business users, developers, testing teams and project managers.
• Model the business, processed and system solution using UML and write clear concise business specifications
• Lead, Plan, organize and co-ordinate all implementation activities and user acceptance testing
• Liaise with developers to ensure timely and quality delivery of IT solutions
• Conduct user training. Develop and maintain user documentation and training materials
• Continually assess the effectiveness of Chubb’s business specifications and testing methodology in terms of content and format.
• Plan, schedule and prepare estimates of work effort in partnership with the project manager

Requirements:

• In-depth general insurance Knowledge
• Knowledge of AS/400, Polisy/400 functionalities, file structures and process flows
• Knowledge of RBDMS, Data warehouse, BI and ETL concepts and tools
• Knowledge of DB2, MS-SQL, MS-Acess and Crystal Reports
• Familiar with use case, UML tools, test Director, MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Project
• Effective documentations and communication
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Involved in Web-based application development (i.e. java, J2EE, ASP and/or .Net)
• Exposure to data mining and/or data warehousing projects in Insurance business
• Exposure to Insurance based commercial IT application, operations and reporting requirements
